Ebook About
JACK:He’s beautiful. He’s sweet. And he’s way too young for me.Unfinished business brought me to Park City, and my friend’s son is the last person I expect to run into. Our chemistry is so strong I can almost forget there’s an age gap between us.I didn’t expect to find Austin so relatable, and before long I’m feeling more than I should for him. He’s younger than me, and I’ve never seen a man this way before, but we can’t deny we want each other. So much is wrong with this, and I don’t know if we can last. But the closer I get to leaving, the less I want to, and I’ve had too much heartbreak to take a chance on the wrong person. Time’s not on our side, and we have to decide if this is more than a fling.Trouble is, I’ve already crossed the line.AUSTIN:Age isn’t keeping me from Jack.I came to Park City looking for answers about my dad, not to fall in love with one of his friends. But I’m not fitting in at my brothers’ bed & breakfast, and when Jack walks in, he’s a welcome distraction. He’s quick to open up, and it turns out the same reasons brought us to town. The more we talk, the more I want to know him, and we risk losing sight of why we’re here. But he’s straight and more experienced—and I can’t keep him here once we have our answers. If he isn’t serious about us, it needs to end before someone gets hurt.I may be younger, but I know when I’m risking my heart. This is the third book in the Mountain Men series. It can be read as a standalone with no cliffhanger.

Book Savage Daddy (Mountain Men Book 3) Review :

The gay romance genre has many strict formulaic rules that publishers and perhaps the audience for these books demand. The rules are so inflexible that they stifle an author's creativity. Jason Collins dares to break a few cliches, but adheres to most of them. For instance, in his Mountain Men series the lead couple's fidelity is always unwavering and the unconditional happy ending is ever in place. Collins does, thankfully, allow the two gay men to eat a diet that is consistent with how their attractive bodies -- well defined and muscular -- are described. (The standard trope in m/m romance is that REAL men live on pizza, beer, and chocolate cake. It seems that healthful eating is considered effeminate by the genre's readers).Collins writes frank, scalding sex scenes, which is really the point of the genre. But he also breaks the mold here a bit. Most romance authors require that both male sex partners alternate as top and bottom (they must be "equals"), and that the sex scenes begin tentatively with scenes of frottage, then oral, before finally engaging in anal sex. Collins, on the contrary, chooses one man as the dominant top and the other a submissive bottom, and they jump into penetrative sex at their first encounter. His "top" man is invariably a straight man who is having his first gay experience with the "bottom." This set-up leaves the impression that the story is merely a transposition of a heterosexual one.None of this indicates Collins' style is better or worse than the standard formulas, though it does set him apart somewhat. Personally, I would love to see gay romance literature eschew all the formulas and offer stories that are less predictable, more realistic, and more creative.
Austin Williams and Jack Timms come to Park City because of the deaths of their fathers. They have different agendas, but both are looking for answers/closure dealing with their deceased fathers. Their relationship with their dads created some heavy baggage. Austin is struggling to fit in wiht his brothers Parker and Eddie. Jack has career conflicts, his Dad issues, his sexual awakening feelings for Jack and their age differences as new baggage. In spite of all the questions Jack and Austin feel a major attraction toward each other. Will they act on the attraction? Who moves first? How much weight does the age difference carry? Can they get closure from their Daddy issues? Mr Collins writes amazing stories that entwine his characters with their locations, each other and the friends and families in their lives. This author really can't write a bad story. The characters' journeys toward the end are always keep my interest and are satisfying. Well done! I received and ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
